Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Mays Landing, NJ. The role involves fieldwork and office engineering tasks, exposure to subsurface investigations, data collection, and report preparation, with travel across South Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware.

Intern will work with geotechnical engineers, technicians, and contractors, gaining hands-on experience and learning soil classification, logging, and Geosystems software

Qualifications

• Strong interest in geotechnical engineering and subsurface exploration.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across regions.
• Good organizational and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with subsurface exploration programs alongside field technicians and engineers.
• Help with test borings, pits, and infiltration testing for stormwater projects.
• Support geotechnical report preparation and site observations.
• Collect and organize field data for engineering evaluation and reporting.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
