Job summary

Remedy Scientific in Oakland, CA is seeking a mid- to senior-level California-licensed Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to lead environmental investigations and remedial engineering of former sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological Engineering, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop investigation scopes, budgets, schedules, and field plans and coordinate drilling firms, laboratories, surveyors, and Remedy field teams.
• Direct field and laboratory testing, review data quality, and translate findings into engineering parameters and design recommendations.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and numerical modeling for settlement, bearing capacity, liquefaction, and ground improvement.
• Prepare calculations, geotechnical reports, design criteria, specifications, and recommendations for permitting and construction.
• Provide construction-phase support, including observations, fill and compaction review, and field responses.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and teams and support proposal development.
• Advise Remedy leadership on costs and timelines of opportunities.
