Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for our client in Elko, Nevada. This is an on-site, permanent position with relocation assistance offered for non-local candidates.

All levels welcome; senior roles prefer PE licensure. You will conduct field investigations, soil mechanics testing, and geotechnical modeling using related software; strong candidates will have exposure to slope stability, consolidation data, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• All levels of Geotechnical Engineers should apply
• For more senior engineers PE licensure is strongly preferred
• Field Investigation Experience: drilling methods (hollow-stem, sonic, mud-rotary), test pits, soil logging beneficial; CPT experience a plus
• Soil Mechanics: deep knowledge of triaxial testing, direct shear tests, consolidation data reduction; critical state soil mechanics desirable
• Geotechnical Modeling: slope stability, settlement, seepage; basic CAD beneficial
• Advanced Geotechnical: liquefaction, seismic evaluations, finite element modeling advantageous
