Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering required.
  • Must be a registered professional engineer (PE).
  • 4+ years of related geotechnical analysis and design experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite products.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 30 pounds or more.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Geotechnical Engineer on our Rail Construction and Administration Management team, you will bridge the gap between soils at client sites and structures, ensuring the stability and strength of their projects from the ground up. You will perform geotechnical engineering design, project proposal, and management duties with integrity and a drive to succeed. You will also process design calculations, develop project scopes and schedules, and travel to job sites for observation. This position will ensure high client service by providing constructible designs, meeting deadlines, and creating clear communications with our clients.


We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of or near any Olsson office locations; close proximity to an airport is acceptable as well. This role involves traveling to various job sites and working in diverse terrains and weather conditions.
