Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to join our Tampa team. You will work on geotechnical studies, field tests, and design to support high-profile projects and client objectives.

You will prepare findings for leadership, organize site assessments, coordinate drilling crews, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering high-quality engineering recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Expertise in CAD software.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time-management and prioritization.
• Field work experience.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be exposed to a range of engineering projects with geotechnical challenges to solve and meet client objectives. The ideal candidate understands commitment, contribution, development, and communication.

What you will do:

Preferred qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Excellent knowledge of local soil and rock properties
• Experience working out in the field.
• Advanced data collection and recording techniques.
