Job summary

W3Global client seeks an Engineer-In-Training to join the Geotechnical team in Duluth, MN. You will assist with field investigations, write geotechnical reports, scope projects and create cost estimates for upcoming work. Travel up to 50% is expected as projects arise.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and EIT or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire. CAD experience and field testing are preferred; a valid driver's license and clean driving record

• EIT certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Proof of valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in subsurface soil investigations and testing in lab and field environments.
• Prepare field reports documenting construction means, test results and interpretations.
• Prepare proposals and determine scopes of work.
• Develop geotechnical reports for review by engineers.
• Observe construction and report to project engineers; maintain client communications.
