Job summary

Campos EPC, LLC in Philadelphia seeks a Geotechnical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead geotechnical analysis, planning, and design on diverse projects.

You will perform site investigations, assess foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, and coordinate with field crews and clients. FE required; PE preferred. On-site role with competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform geotechnical analysis and studies for mitigation options (seismic, karst, etc.).
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical explorations and design calculations for foundations, walls, HDD, and slope stability.
  • Assist in developing proposals, and determine cost and schedule for investigations.
  • Provide direction to field inspection teams and coordinate with clients.
  • Review and approve geotechnical designs by outside consultants and proposals.
  • Evaluate team performance and identify training needs.

Job description

  • Perform geotechnical analysis and studies to assess potential mitigation options for geohazards including seismic analysis, karst evaluation, etc.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical explorations. Perform appropriate calculations for the design of foundations, retaining walls, horizontal directional drills, and slope stability.
  • Assist in developing proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations.
  • Provide direction to technical team in field inspection activities.
  • Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned project on-time.
  • Assist Program Manager in design and evaluation of construction documents and projects.
  • Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by outside consultants.
  • Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects.
  • Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • BS in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
  • Geotechnical Engineer level 2 - 5+ years of relatable experience required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry codes and standards.
  • FE required, PE highly preferred.
SKILLS
