Job summary
Olsson’s geotechnical team is seeking an assistant engineer to work on projects involving traditional geotechnical analysis and foundation design. You will perform calculations, help prepare geotechnical reports, and collaborate with other disciplines within a larger design team.
Occasional travel to project sites for observation and investigations is expected. The role requires a Civil/Geotechnical engineering degree and EI/EIT certification, with demonstrated teamwork and strong communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering required.
- EI or EIT certificate required.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Technical skills in geotechnical analysis and design.
- Willingness to travel and ability to lift 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform design calculations for shallow and deep foundations (bearing capacity, settlement).
- Assist with geotechnical reports writing and preparation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines within the design team.
- Travel to project sites for observation and site investigations.
