The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) seeks a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to strengthen our Project Delivery team. You will provide geotechnical support across statewide maintenance and construction initiatives, overseeing, reviewing, and designing a wide variety of transportation projects.

The role requires PE licensure in Utah, at least two years post-licensure experience, and potential laboratory management responsibilities within a full-time, on-site role in Taylorsville, UT.

Qualifications

• PE licensure in Utah required or reciprocity arranged before start date.
• Minimum two years of post-licensure engineering experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform geotechnical design and engineering analysis for state projects.
• Prepare clear geotechnical reports to guide development and safety.
• Evaluate plans, oversee consultant deliverables, ensure compliance with standards.
• Update and review UDOT geotechnical specs and manuals.
• Optional: manage geotechnical laboratory operations as assigned.
