Job summary

Stantec Consulting Services Inc. in Austin, TX, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (multiple positions) to perform field explorations, logging borings, and construction QA/QC activities.

You will assist with calculations, prepare civil/geotechnical designs, drawings, specifications, and presentations under supervision. You will also write geotechnical reports detailing field work, lab tests, and analyses; develop engineering recommendations; support submittals, RFIs, and contract clarifications;

Responsibilities

• Perform field work including logging borings and construction QA/QC.
• Perform calculations and prepare civil/geotechnical designs, drawings, specifications, and presentations under supervision.
• Write geotechnical engineering reports describing field work, lab tests, and analyses.
• Develop engineering recommendations based on analysis and provide supporting documentation (boring logs, site plans, cross sections).
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and clarifications; prepare proposals for geotechnical work.
• Work 40 hours per week, M-F.
