Job summary

Cochran, a growing civil engineering firm with multiple Missouri offices, is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The role involves planning subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, soil and rock parameter assessments, and geotechnical report preparation for municipal, commercial, and transportation projects.

Qualifications

• EIT with 4+ years’ experience and PE license preferred.
• BS – Civil Engineering and Geological Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Development of geotechnical subsurface exploration proposals and reports
• Review and application of laboratory testing and analyses
• Design and analysis of retaining walls, reinforced slopes, soil parameters for adequate foundation support
• Development of construction recommendations and best practices
• Conduct periodic construction site visits
• Review of daily observation reports from materials testing field personnel
