Job summary

Remedy Scientific in California seeks a mid- to senior-level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to lead environmental investigations and remedial engineering of former sites. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop investigation scopes, budgets, schedules, and field plans; coordinate drilling firms, laboratories, surveyors, specialty contractors, and Remedy field teams.
• Direct field and laboratory testing, review data quality, and translate findings into engineering parameters and design recommendations.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and numerical modeling for settlement, bearing capacity, foundations, liquefaction, lateral earth pressures, seismic response, and ground improvement.
• Prepare calculations, geotechnical reports, design criteria, specifications, and recommendations for permitting, design, entitlement, and construction.
• Provide construction-phase support, including subgrade and foundation observations, compaction review, and responses to field conditions.
• Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to clients and multidisciplinary teams, and support client relationships.
• Advise Remedy leadership on costs/timelines of potential investment opportunities.
