Job summary

W3Global Inc. is expanding its Geotechnical Services Department in North Carolina. We seek an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations, analyses, and reporting while shaping standards and long-term vision for the department.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with engineers, scientists, and permitting specialists, and help grow client partnerships as a trusted technical advisor. In-person work is required at our NC location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field with Master’s preferred.
• NC PE license required for the role.
• 7+ years of environmental consulting geotech experience.
• Experience leading projects and serving as primary client contact.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead subsurface investigations, soil borings, test pits, and groundwater evaluations.
• Perform geotechnical analyses including bearing capacity and slope stability.
• Prepare reports, recommendations, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate drilling subcontractors and field staff, ensuring safety and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development and client presentations.
