Tunstall Engineering Group in Cranberry Township, PA, seeks a full-time Geotechnical Engineer to apply geotechnical skills in construction engineering—temporary supports, wall and slope designs, anchors, and piles. The role includes field work, CAD drafting, and collaboration with contractors, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

Candidates should have a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree; FE exam is preferred and EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with and provides geotechnical engineering support to contractors.
• Designs and develops details for field use by contractors.
• Performs geotechnical engineering calculations.
• Analyzes and designs walls, cofferdams, deep foundations, and slopes for stability.
• Assists in structural engineering for bracing elements related to walls and cofferdams.
• Creates CAD sketches.
• Assists engineering team with construction documents and project tasks.
• Travels to and observes construction sites.
