Job description
* Perform geotechnical investigations, including planning, field exploration, laboratory testing coordination, and data reduction.* Prepare geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, slope stability analyses, and settlement evaluations.* Support design of foundations, retaining structures, embankments for roadways and railways, flood control systems and pavement systems.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.* Assist with construction support services such as submittal reviews, field observations, and problem resolution.* Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination activities.* Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team.* Other duties as assigned.* Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering required.* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.* Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.* Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.* Experience working on geotechnical projects in transportation corridors, site development, facilities and water/wastewater systems preferred.* Proficiency in geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, LPILE, SLIDE, PLAXIS, or similar tools.* Familiarity with subsurface exploration techniques and laboratory testing standards.* Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction and geotechnical design principles.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical report writing.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.* Effective time management and organizational skills.* Willingness to travel for field assignments and client meetings.* Valid driver’s license required.
