Job summary

AmerCom Corporation is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support roadway, bridge, transit/rail and aviation design projects. This fully remote role serves clients in the New York–New Jersey area and requires 5–10 years of geotechnical experience.

The position involves preparing geotechnical foundation reports and designs with a team of engineers, leveraging subsurface data and advanced software. A NY/NJ PE license is preferred and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• 5-10 years’ experience
• New York / New Jersey PE License preferred
• Experience with NY/NJ transportation agency designs preferred
• Experience with subsurface investigations including boring logs, soil profiles and foundation designs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Maintain a professional image
• Experience with geotechnical software: gINT, ALLPILE, GEO-SLOPE, GRLWEAP, LPILE, PLAXIS, SHAFT & SETTLE 3D preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Amercom is seeking a qualified Geotechnical Engineer to work in our Roadway, Bridge, Transit/Rail and Aviation Design Division.

Successful candidates for this position must have 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical work, preferably in the New York / New Jersey area. This is a fully remote position. The position entails preparation of geotechnical foundation reports and designs prepared by a team of geotechnical engineers.
