Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to contribute to design and analysis in a collaborative, fast-paced environment near Atlanta, GA.

You will assist in plans, analyses, site investigations, and client coordination while growing with a team of engineers. A strong foundation in Civil Engineering and EIT is preferred, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
