Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Atlanta-area team. You will assist in plans, specifications, and reports and perform basic analyses under senior engineers.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred, along with field visits and data collection. The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 2–3 years of related experience, with an EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 2-3 years of geotechnical engineering experience preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
