Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical EIT in Billings, MT to develop geotechnical calculations for flood walls, levees, and infrastructure projects. You will assist in design analyses, prepare geotechnical reports, and conduct field investigations with senior engineers on varied projects.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and collaboration within HDR's employee-owned culture. Travel and setup support may be required as projects evolve in the Montana region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Experience with MS Office, GIS, and CADD.

Responsibilities

• Develop geotechnical engineering calculations for flood walls, levees, dams, bridges, and pumping stations.
• Conduct analyses and prepare technical memos and geotechnical reports.
• Perform field investigations including logging soil/rock borings and CPT observations.
• Support senior engineers on larger projects and provide direction to clerical staff.
