Gecfla is hiring a Driller’s Helper—Entry Level or Experienced—for full-time work in Orlando, FL. The role offers on-the-job training to learn geotechnical drilling operations and the potential to advance to a geotechnical driller and lead a crew.

The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, can pass background checks and drug screening, and is willing to work outdoors in all climates. No experience is required, but quick learning and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Clean Driving Record required.
• Pass a background check and drug screening required.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all climates.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds multiple times per day.
• Willingness to arrive early and work late when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Drive drill rig(s) and/or support vehicle(s) in a safe and professional manner (CDL NOT required but a significant plus).
• Assist lead driller with geotechnical drilling operations.
• Learn to operate drill rig(s) and conduct geotechnical drilling operations.
• Understand utility locate markings and field locating of boring locations.
• Assist with clearing operations for geotechnical investigations.
• Perform maintenance and repair of drilling equipment and vehicles requiring basic mechanical knowledge.
