Job summary

Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Driller to support field investigations across Kansas. You will operate drilling rigs, collect soil and rock samples, and assist with field testing and documentation on diverse project sites.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, physical activity, and occasional travel to job sites. Prior experience with augers, SPT sampling, and rock coring is preferred; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Driller’s experience should include drilling operations.
• Experience handling solid and hollow stem augers.
• Familiarity with SPT sampling and rock coring.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and subsurface drilling to support geotechnical investigations.
• Operate and maintain drilling equipment.
• Collect soil and rock samples for testing and documentation.
• Assist with field testing and site documentation.

Job Description

The Geotechnical Driller is responsible for performing soil and subsurface drilling to support geotechnical investigations and construction projects. This role operates and maintains drilling equipment, collects soil and rock samples, and assists with field testing and documentation. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, performing physical work, and traveling to job sites as needed.

Driller’s experience should include:

• rock coring
