Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a motivated student in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering to assist with field and lab tasks on active construction projects in Wakefield, MA. You will support engineering analyses, soil testing, boring logs, and data preparation under supervision.

Responsibilities include performing AutoCAD drawings, preparing proposals and reports, and learning from senior staff. Travel may be required for short assignments; a valid driver's license is needed, and the role

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel on temporary assignment if needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field.
  • Ability to perform field work at active construction sites year‑round without restrictions, including in inclement weather if required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Sensory requirements: Minimal, Moderate, Accurate.
  • Environment requirements: Blood borne pathogens, Chemical, Airborne communicable diseases, Extreme temperatures, Radiation, Uneven surfaces or elevations, Extreme noise levels, Dust/particulate matter.
