GTA is hiring a Geotechnical Field Technician to support field testing and observation in the Roanoke, VA and Wytheville, VA area. This entry-to-mid level role offers training, certifications, and career growth within a dynamic, fast-growth company.

You must own a vehicle and have a good driving record. We provide PPE and flexible opportunities for training, with overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate. This position emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL, VA DOT a plus.
• Own a Reliable Vehicle, have a Valid Drivers License, and a Good Driving Record.
• Enjoy working outdoors.
• Ability to work alone as well as in a group.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and testing of soils, concrete and other materials.
• Support field operations and data collection in outdoor environments.
