Job summary

UES is seeking a CMT Field Technician to support field and laboratory testing on construction materials across projects in Lubbock and Amarillo, with remote reporting to Fort Worth.

You will collect samples, run tests on soils, concrete, and asphalt, and prepare detailed reports for project managers. This is a field‑oriented role that requires travel up to 70% and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; construction/geology-related coursework a plus.
• 0–3 years field/outdoor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to labs for testing.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration and safety procedures.
• Communicate status and site conditions to dispatch and supervisors.
• Adhere to project timelines, schedules, and safety protocols (OSHA).
• Travel to job sites and regional offices; operate company vehicle as assigned.
