Job summary

Certerra in Tempe, AZ seeks an Entry level Staff Engineer to support inspections and testing of construction materials. You’ll work on public and private projects, learn field and lab tasks, and progress toward project management responsibilities within Certerra/Southwest Division.

Responsibilities include observing field inspections, preparing daily reports, reviewing data, and assisting with proposal scoping and budgeting. A 4-year Civil Engineering degree and driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• EIT level accreditation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history required.
• Experience reading and understanding plans and specifications preferred.
• Experience with IBC Special Inspections preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and testing of construction materials.
• Prepare daily observation reports and记录 data.
• Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with proposal scoping, estimating, and preparation.
• Track project budgets and assist with invoicing.
• Mentor junior staff and support training as needed.
