Job summary

Bcore is seeking a Geospatial Systems Software Engineer in Springfield, VA. The role requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and 5–10+ years in geospatial software development.

You will design and deploy enterprise GIS apps, implement RMF controls, and work in a DevSecOps environment with ArcGIS, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. The position is hybrid (one WFH day) with a salary range of $145k–$163k in the DC area, plus benefits and opportunities to support Army mission critical

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5–10+ years of experience in geospatial software environments.
• Proficiency with DevOps/DevSecOps workflows and security practices.
• Experience integrating GIS with enterprise IT and DoD policies.

Responsibilities

• Design, customize, deploy, and test enterprise GIS applications.
• Develop software using Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Document configurations and versioning notes in GitLab/GitHub.
• Manage geospatial data acquisition, conversion, and storage.
• Ensure RMF compliance and access control for systems.
• Configure and deploy OGC web services (WMS, WFS, WMTS, WCS).
• Integrate Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift for containerization.
• Support AI/ML/DL workflows including data management and model validation.
• Perform QA/QC, code reviews, and lifecycle compliance.
