Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking a Geospatial Systems Engineer to join the Strata Systems Engineering team in Herndon, VA. This position requires a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and focuses on systems engineering activities in an Agile SAFe environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS suite for system architecture development, requirements analysis, and systems verification while ensuring all system requirements and contractual policies are met.

Geospatial Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to join our Strata Systems Engineering team. This is an onsite role in Herndon, VA, and requires DEP II access. The qualified candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, with a final TS required to start, and will ensure that Strata deliveries are engineered to meet all system requirements and contractual policies. The ideal candidate works effectively in an Agile SAFe environment, has strong systems engineering instincts, and enjoys using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite to develop system architecture, perform requirements analysis, and conduct systems-of-systems verification.

Responsibilities

This position involves systems engineering activities supporting Strata deliveries within an Agile SAFe environment. Duties will include developing system architecture, performing requirements analysis, and conducting systems-of-systems verification using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite, while ensuring all deliveries meet system requirements and contractual policies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience translating customer requirements into discrete engineering features with clear acceptance criteria
• Proven work with SAFe Agile processes
• Direct experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Earth

Preferred Qualifications

• Deploying ArcGIS Enterprise in high-availability (HA) environments
• Red Hat Linux and AWS cloud experience
• Integration of external segments for enterprise capability delivery
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology experience
• Cybersecurity knowledge (vulnerability assessment, mitigations)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and streaming analytics

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; final TS required to start
• Bachelor's or Master's in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or GIS
• Security+ or DoD 8140-equivalent certification
