Job summary

Xcel Energy is hiring a Geospatial Specialist I to deliver responsive GIS support and data analytics across its enterprise systems. The role focuses on geospatial data integrity, regulatory filings, and user training for GIS and SAP-related workflows.

You will engage with internal and external customers, resolve application issues, and contribute to ongoing improvement while operating within a hybrid work model with onsite and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

Completion of degree in GIS or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 3 year gas and electric utility experience with demonstrated proficiency in Geospatial applications and electric and gas systems.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

End User Application Support: assist end users of GIS and GIS related applications with software and internal business process questions.
Misc. Requests/Special Requests: provide query/data analysis and data imports/extracts to support business processes and regulatory reporting.
Geospatial Project Management: support the Geospatial Project Management team with testing, implementation, reporting and documentation as directed.
