Job summary
Esri in Vienna, VA seeks a senior GIS expert to partner with defense and intelligence customers. You will translate business goals into geospatial solutions using the ArcGIS platform and lead implementation strategies with enterprise GIS capabilities.
The role emphasizes collaboration across customer IT teams, solution architecture, and presenting GIS demonstrations to diverse stakeholders, while supporting relocation if needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (Desktop, Server, and Online).
- Proven experience with Esri software capabilities including mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management, and developer APIs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
- Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices to customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content to help them make better decisions.
- Identify the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in Esri's enterprise platform and services.
- Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies.
- Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations.
- Collaborate with customer IT organizations to align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology enterprise.
