Waypoint is currently seeking a qualified professional to work with us as a Geospatial Sales Consultant. This key position is intended to help fuel the significant growth of our business over the next 2-3 years and beyond. The selected candidate will participate in a wide range of activities related to our Trimble hardware & software sales, customized training, and solution-based support.

Job Description and Responsibilities

As a Geospatial Sales Consultant, the responsibilities include:

  1. Generation, qualification, and follow-up of sales leads
  2. Performing sales demonstrations
  3. Preparing formal price quotations
  4. Forecasting future sales by vendor and product
  5. Delivering training, technical support, and product orientation as needed
  6. Representing Waypoint at conferences, seminars, and trade shows
  7. Serving as a strategic liaison with the Land Surveying community and related markets in NY, NJ, & CT

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with experience in sales, business development, and customer relations. A minimum of 5 years in a related role is required. Experience in Geospatial, surveying, GIS, and knowledge of Trimble products is preferred but not mandatory. Strong sales and communication skills, and the ability to develop long-term relationships are most important.

Salary and Benefits

This is a remote position with travel to Albany, NY as needed. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $95,000 annually, plus commissions. Benefits include:
