NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting qualified and cleared Geospatial Engineers to support national security client sites in Northern Virginia. You will design, analyze, and support geospatial data, systems, and workflows using GIS and Esri tools.

Responsibilities include collecting and validating geospatial data, building databases, performing spatial analysis in ArcGIS, and developing automated workflows with Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, geospatial engineering, computer science or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience using GIS technologies.
• Proficiency with Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, Online).
• Knowledge of Windows environments.
• Experience with spatial analysis, GIS workflows, and database development.
• Relational databases knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work in a team.

Overview

NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting qualified and cleared Geospatial Engineers to support national security client sites in the Northern Virginia and St. Louis, MO areas. Candidates will support mission-critical Intelligence Community and Department of War projects by designing, analyzing, and supporting geospatial data, systems, and workflows. This role leverages GIS expertise and Esri technologies to deliver high-quality geospatial products, analysis, and user support in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Clearance Requirement

A Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility or an active TS/SCI are required conditions of employment.

Work Environment

• Location: Northern Virginia Area (Springfield, VA and/or Vienna, VA)
• Travel up to 15% of the time

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geospatial engineering, computer scient or a related field
• 2+ years of professional experience using GIS technologies
• Knowledge of Windows environments
• Proficiency with Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Online)
• Experience with spatial analysis, GIS workflows, and database development
• Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical support or customer facing GIS roles
• Experience with data conversion or migration
• Knowledge of Linux and UNIX environments
• Familiarity with web mapping and remote sensing tools
• Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL
• GIS certifications

Clearance Requirement

• Active/Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
