Job Description

As a Geospatial Data Scientist, you'll develop geospatial analytical solutions independently and collaboratively. This includes identifying, retrieving, and utilizing spatial and non-spatial data from sources like Allstate databases, vended data, and public data. You will support the development of machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytics to generate insights and support business decisions. Creating deployable geospatial products, such as spatial web applications used by thousands, will also be part of your role. You will manage small to medium projects, working independently and in teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create and support machine learning models (e.g., optimization, clustering, linear regression) using geospatial data.
2. Develop deployable mapping products and applications using ArcGIS Enterprise, Python, and other scripting languages to improve business outcomes.
3. Collaborate with team members and business partners to understand requirements, identify data sources, and determine methods to meet business goals.
4. Maintain the ArcGIS Enterprise technology stack by troubleshooting issues, enhancing robustness, and educating users.
5. Maintain a geospatial data library with metadata and documentation to support reusability and customer requirements.
6. Troubleshoot data quality and modeling issues, identify root causes, and document resolutions.
7. Enhance skills in geospatial analysis and data science, applying these skills to solve core business problems.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Graduate degree in data science, computer science, GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Geology, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, Python, JavaScript, Linux systems, and SQL.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• ESRI Desktop, Developer, Enterprise Certification, or GISP Certification.

Compensation

The role offers an annual salary range of $78,600 to $142,275, depending on experience and qualifications.
