Job summary

Leidos in St. Louis, MO seeks an Exploitation Specialist, Data Manager and Cataloger to join the team. You will digitize and organize geospatial and textual materials, maintain the library collection, and ensure full discoverability of products for customers.

You will lead efforts to develop workflows, manage metadata, and support DoD/IC-focused archiving projects across multiple databases, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
• 3-6 years of demonstrated experience creating, developing, and maintaining look-up file plans and databases for archival purposes.
• 3-6 years' experience in personnel management supporting a DoD or IC effort.
• 1-3 years of demonstrated digitization experience and database development or database maintenance experience supporting a DoD or IC Geomatics effort.
• 1-3 years' experience in team leadership and mission planning supporting an IC or DoD effort.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the digitization status and progress to the customer leadership and SMEs.
• Assist in managing and categorizing of documents, media, and materials for the collection, maintenance, and dissemination.
• Lead contractor team efforts to develop, plan, and progress team workflows and processes.
• Digitize hard copy customer records and content.
• Perform collection maintenance services, e.g. filing, bar codes, storage, distribution, etc.
• Provide collection development support, e.g. recommend material acquisition.
• Implement declassification guidelines where applicable.
• Provide research and support ad hoc projects utilizing multiple databases and special source, libraries.
• Create and maintain databases, summary data, spreadsheets, and graphic documents.
• Develop, assess and communicate website usage and procedures.
• Populate Library Systems database and collections.
• Support Library of Congress map/chart archiving activity as required.
• Adhere to all established customer cataloging guidelines.
• Maintain databases and library content including additions, deletions, research, corrections, and cleaning.
• Provide team leadership, guidance and mentoring to lower skill levels.
