Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Geospatial Data Manager - Data Scientist to develop and operationalize advanced analytic solutions that enhance intelligence production. You will design Python-based pipelines that integrate diverse data sources and deploy interactive dashboards for analysts.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, 10+ years of experience, and expertise in geospatial processing, SQL, and data visualization. Collaboration with DoD/IC clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly. 10+ years experience preferred.
• Senior Python experience designing mission-ready solutions.
• Experience querying and integrating web APIs via Python.
• Experience developing interactive visualizations (Plotly/Seaborn/Matplotlib/Bokeh).
• Experience building dashboards/interfaces (Dash/Streamlit/Tableau).
• Strong SQL skills and relational DB querying.
• Git-based version control (GitLab/GitHub).
• Geospatial processing with GDAL/ArcPy; GIS desktop (ArcGIS Pro/QGIS).
• Ability to write clear technical docs for software & workflows.
• Independent senior-level operation with limited oversight.

Job description

We are seeking a Geospatial Data Manager - Data Scientist to develop and operationalize advanced analytic solutions that directly enhance intelligence production and mission effectiveness. In this role, you will design and deploy Python-based solutions and analytic pipelines that integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including web APIs and enterprise repositories. You will create solutions, interactive dashboards, and analytic interfaces that improve analytic rigor, transparency, and reproducibility. Your work will modernize legacy workflows to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability in high-consequence environments.

What Impact You'll Have:

We are looking for a Geospatial Data Manager - Data Scientist,with experience processing and analyzing large datasets, who will use their technical knowledge, experience, and customer-centric focus to create and deliver world-class analytic processes, scripting solutions, and data modeling content. This is a mission-driven opportunity to support the DoD and Intelligence Community. The Data Scientist will coordinate with our clients to understand questions and issues involving the client’s datasets, then determine the best method and approach to create data-driven solutions within program guidelines. This position will be relied upon as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), and be expected to lead/assist in the development of automated processes, architect data science solutions, automated workflows, conduct analysis, use available tools to analyze data, remain adaptable to mission requirements, and identify patterns to help solve some of the complex problems that face the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).

What You Must Have:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance is required with the ability to obtain a CI Poly. 10+ years of relevant experience. (A combination of years of experience & professional certifications/trainings/degree can be used in lieu of the years of experience requirement)
• Senior-level proficiency in Python with demonstrated experience in designing mission ready solutions.
• Experience querying and integrating web APIs through Python to retrieve, normalize, and operationalize data.
• Experience developing interactive data visualizations using Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Bokeh, or comparable tools.
• Experience building dashboards and analytic interfaces using Dash, Streamlit, Panel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
• Experience using Git-based version control platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Proficiency with geospatial processing frameworks such as GDAL or ArcPy.
• Proficiency with GIS desktop software such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
• Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation related to software systems and automated workflows.
• Ability to operate independently at a senior level with limited oversight.
• Familiarity with USSOCOM and broader U.S. military organizational structures.
• Familiarity with common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.
