Job summary
CSEngineering in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a GIS Analyst to support geospatial data management, mapping, engineering records, and facility planning for a Department of Defense installation. The role emphasizes production quality and data accuracy to support infrastructure and real-property environments.
The successful candidate will develop GIS datasets, create and revise maps, and ensure data integrity across multiple systems while providing user training and technical support to staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level knowledge of geospatial concepts, cartography, remote sensing, and data visualization.
- Experience producing, managing, archiving, and maintaining digital geospatial data per standards.
- Experience with GIS applications, CADD/GIS integration, and geodatabases is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage GIS files, databases, applications, and mapping products.
- Create and revise maps, charts, cartographic products, and geospatial data layers.
- Digitize, edit, review, and quality-control geospatial data for accuracy and standards compliance.
- Maintain current and historical infrastructure, utility, floor-plan, and engineering data.
- Use GIS tools to analyze land use, transportation, environmental, and installation planning information.
- Provide technical support and instruction to users on GIS tools and procedures.
