Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Geospatial Data Engineer for the Worldwide Sustainability group in Seattle. You will extend geospatial capabilities, build scalable data pipelines, and deliver data products for risk assessment and sustainability insights.

You will work with Python/Scala/Java, AWS services, and modern data tools to process large geospatial datasets and to operationalize new analytics pipelines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects independently.
• Experience building distributed data systems for large datasets.
• Deep experience with geospatial data types (raster and vector) and GIS tools.

Responsabilités

• Own geospatial data operations for WW Sustainability’s datasets, including ingestion, documentation and metadata.
• Design and implement methods to consolidate unstructured data from various sources.
• Automate data pipelines using CI/CD and multiple programming languages.
• Build and optimize data infrastructure using AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Step Functions).
• Develop ETL/ELT processes with PySpark, Spark, Airflow, and SQL transformations.
• Maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards driving sustainability decisions.
• Develop data services and APIs for internal/external integrations with governance and security in mind.
• Collaborate with science and engineering teams to scale pipelines and enable ML with geospatial data.
