Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Data Engineer to support USSOUTHCOM J26 Enhanced Domain Awareness. You will build and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and front-end interfaces for geospatial and structured data visualization.

The role requires expertise with Data Lakes (Databricks), Kubernetes, and ESRI ArcGIS environments, plus Unity Catalog and cloud databases, enabling scalable, secure data access and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of equivalent experience in full-stack development and data engineering.
• Experience developing and deploying full-stack apps for data visualization, dashboards, and analytics in ESRI GIS, Unity Catalog, and cloud DBs.
• Experience implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs for data retrieval and integration.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments in Kubernetes, and API authentication.
• Experience optimizing queries and indexing for large-scale geospatial datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and APIs for geospatial data visualization.
• Work with Data Lakes using Databricks, Kubernetes, and ESRI ArcGIS.
• Build secure, scalable web apps with metadata-driven search and retrieval.
• Integrate APIs for seamless data interoperability.
• Develop full-stack apps for GIS dashboards using ESRI GIS, Unity Catalog, and cloud databases.
• Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for data retrieval and integration.
• Manage CI/CD, containerized deployments in Kubernetes, and API authentication.
• Optimize queries and indexing for large geospatial datasets.
