Job summary

WGI seeks a Certified Photogrammetrist to lead photogrammetric production in our Huntsville, AL, or Lakewood, CO office. You will mentor staff, drive aerial triangulation, imagery processing, and quality control to meet project specs and WGI standards.

The role requires 5+ years in photogrammetry, CP certification, and strong experience with SimActive, POSPac, and Photoshop for imagery refinements, while collaborating with project teams to deliver high‑quality geospatial products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related geospatial field is preferred.
• Current ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive photogrammetry or related geospatial experience.
• Experience with aerial triangulation and photogrammetric production using SimActive.
• Experience processing GNSS/IMU data with POSPac.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for imagery editing and color balancing.
• Strong knowledge of camera systems, calibration, ground control, and photogrammetric accuracy requirements.
• Ability to develop and improve photogrammetric workflows and train others.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to less-senior staff.
• Research project information including scopes and accuracy requirements.
• Meet with clients and project teams as photogrammetric technical specialist.
• Perform and oversee aerial triangulation using SimActive.
• Process GNSS/IMU data with POSPac and verify trajectory quality.
• Oversee orthorectification, mosaicking, seamline development, color balancing, and imagery production tasks.
• Use Adobe Photoshop for image editing to meet specifications.
• QA/QC of aerial triangulation, imagery, positioning, and deliverables.
• Apply photogrammetric principles and accuracy assessments.
• Develop and improve workflows and train new associates.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and information security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in coaching, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to less-senior staff involved in photogrammetric and imagery production workflows.
• Research and review project information, including scopes, mapping specifications, control, flight acquisition data, camera calibration information, coordinate systems, and accuracy requirements.
• Participate in client, project team, and subconsultant meetings as the photogrammetric technical specialist when needed.
• Perform and oversee aerial triangulation using SimActive, including image block setup, tie point generation, ground control integration, bundle adjustment, adjustment review, and troubleshooting.
• Process and evaluate GNSS/IMU positioning data using POSPac and verify trajectory quality and positioning inputs used in photogrammetric production.
• Perform and oversee orthorectification, mosaicking, seamline development, color balancing, image enhancement, and other aerial imagery production tasks.
• Use Adobe Photoshop for controlled image editing, tonal and color adjustments, artifact correction, and other imagery refinements required to meet project specifications.
• Perform QA/QC of aerial triangulation, imagery, positioning, and photogrammetric deliverables to verify completeness, consistency, horizontal and vertical accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Apply a thorough understanding of photogrammetric principles, aerial sensor geometry, camera calibration, ground control, GNSS/IMU data, coordinate systems, datums, projections, and accuracy assessment.
• Develop, document, and improve efficient photogrammetric production and QA/QC workflows, and assist with training new associates on established procedures.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and information security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience processing and evaluating airborne GNSS/IMU positioning data using POSPac.
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop for professional aerial imagery editing, color balancing, and image quality refinement.
• Strong working knowledge of aerial camera systems, camera calibration, ground control, bundle adjustment, orthorectification, digital elevation data, coordinate systems, projections, datums, and photogrammetric accuracy requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and data quality.
• Must have the desire to learn new software, hardware, and methodologies; work well independently and with others; and contribute to an efficient, team-oriented Geospatial environment.
