Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to design and maintain web GIS applications, manage authoritative spatial datasets, and support ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online workflows across campus.

The role develops Python-based automation to improve data quality, system efficiency, and decision-making, aligning with facilities planning, public safety, and research needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1+ year of related experience, or equivalent certification/training.
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise including Portal, hosted layers, sharing settings, and publishing workflows.
• Proficiency with Python scripting for GIS automation (ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python) and data processing.
• Experience developing and supporting web GIS apps using ArcGIS Online/Enterprise and Esri tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain web GIS applications and services using ArcGIS tools and related software.
• Support ArcGIS Enterprise environment including Portal content organization and user management.
• Coordinate with IT on system configuration, upgrades, and integration with enterprise systems.
• Gather requirements and deliver maps, dashboards, mobile apps, and data services for campus operations.
