Job summary

The Encompass Group seeks an energetic geospatial analyst with an environmental design/planning focus to support ecosystem restoration projects in Maryland and surrounding states. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as specified or equivalent.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience configuring and uploading data into field-collection instruments (GPS, Total Station) and post-processing datasets.
• Proven ability to organize, analyze, and process geospatial data and produce cartographic output.
• Familiarity with Mid-Atlantic geography, especially Maryland.
• Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D (Map 3D) and data transfer to ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site searches and develop conceptual restoration designs and GIS figures.
• Support real estate acquisition, business development opportunities, and ongoing projects.
• Manage development of GIS and CAD-based work products; organize and maintain digital files; maintain GIS database.
• Inventory and manage related hardware and software; oversee GIS/CAD production by team members.
• Interface with operations, business development, land acquisition, and legal departments.
