GFT is seeking an Environmental Project Engineer in Owings Mills, MD, specializing in ecosystem restoration and water resources. Hybrid work requires regular office attendance.

The role involves delivering comprehensive environmental planning, design, and compliance across North America. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of environmental scientists, planners, and project managers on diverse infrastructure projects, with opportunities for professional growth and a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT required.
• 5–8 years experience designing/restoring water resources and coastal projects.
• Experience with ecosystem restoration and living shorelines is preferred.
• AutoCAD and Microstation fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop deliverables including construction docs, plans, cost estimates, and specs for stream restoration, living shoreline, coastal engineering, and water resources projects.
• Review project documents for conformity and QA.
• Perform field data collection and studies (stream assessment, TMDL, watershed analyses, BMP inspections).
• Independently develop design reports and mapping.
• Independently prepare calculations and analyze engineering data.
• Assist with developing Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) models.
• Lead periodic construction oversight/inspection for environmental projects.
