Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Geospatial Analyst to join our team in St Louis, MO. You will extract feature data for the Airfield Foundation Data program, focusing on airfield infrastructure and VO collection within defined areas.

Responsibilities include feature extraction, analysis, validation, data entry, and scripting in Python and SQL. Proficiency in ArcGIS, VBA, Oracle Spatial, and database management will be important to finish products to customer specifications.

Qualifications

• GEOINT education/training may substitute for experience.
• 1+ years of feature collection (points/lines/areas) and feature finishing.
• Experience with airfield infrastructure knowledge is preferred.
• Strong scripting and database skills to support data finishing.

Responsibilities

• Extract features from imagery sources and validate results.
• Use ESRI ArcGIS for feature collection, validation, and finishing.
• Update and debug Python/VBA scripts; manage geospatial databases.

seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Geospatial Analyst to join our team in St Louis, MO !

The Geospatial Analysts for the Airfield Foundation Data program will extract specific feature data in accordance with the customer‘s data and product specifications, including VO collection within the defined areas around AFD collections.

Activities involve feature extraction (airfield infrastructure), feature analysis, feature validations, data entry, database scripting, quality control/assurance and product finishing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructure such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangers, to create AFD productsUpdate and debug Python scripting from older languages such as VBA for AFD product finishingKnowledge of Python, VBA, Sybase, Oracle, Oracle Spatial, PostgreSQL/PostGIS to run scripts for AFD product finishingWork within, manipulate, and interact with Geospatial Database, SQL, Store Procedures, and TriggersUse ESRI ArcGIS-feature collection, feature validation, and finishingExtract features from imagery sourcesUse data entry, Microsoft Access database and Excel spreadsheets for metrics support

Basic Qualifications5+

years of GEOINT experience with the below years being a part of the experience calculationGEOINT Education/Training in lieu of experience:

Associate’s degree can be substituted for 2 years.Bachelor’s degree can be substituted for 3 years of experience.Master’s degree can be substituted for 2 years.PhD can be substituted for 3 years.Professional certifications can account for 0.5 years.

Basic knowledge and understanding of airfield infrastructures such as taxiways, runways, navigational aids, ATC tower, and hangars, to create AFD products.1+ years of feature collection (points, lines, and areas), feature validation and finishing.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of basic geospatial principles such as coordinate systems (horizontal and vertical), elevation models, and accuracy values.Knowledge of imagery, products, processes, and sensors.Knowledge of and experience with understanding, reading, and writing XML.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain & maintain a Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
