Job summary

Repsol is offering a Geoscientist Internship based in The Woodlands, Texas. The role supports the geoscience team with day-to-day tasks and data interpretation, providing exposure to subsurface workflows and cross-functional collaboration.

Interns are expected to work onsite Monday-Friday (with optional 9/80 per manager), for the full duration of May 17 through Aug 6. A summer stipend is provided; benefits or PTO are not included.

Qualifications

• Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's in Geology or related geoscience field.
• Must be a currently enrolled student for the Fall 2027 semester.
• Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
• Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical staff.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Repsol has an opening for a Geoscientist Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Internship Details :

Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80's. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager's discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.

Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodations. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.

Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 17th - Aug 6th . Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.

Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

• Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) in Geology or a related geoscience field (Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geophysics)
• Must be a currently enrolled student for the Fall 2027 semester. Candidates should not have graduated before the start of the internship.
