Job summary

Repsol in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Geoscientist Intern for the period of May 17 through August 6. The internship is based onsite, Monday through Friday, with the 9/80 option at the manager’s discretion depending on project scope and timeline.

Interns will be paid hourly and are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Students must be enrolled for Fall 2027 and must arrange travel or housing if non-local.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Fall 2027; not graduating before internship start.
• Currently pursuing Geology/geoscience degree.
• Must be fully authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

• Interest in oil and gas industry and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support geoscience team with day-to-day tasks and project activities.
• Assist with data compilation, organization, and basic interpretation of subsurface data.
• Help prepare maps, exhibits, presentations, and technical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, reviews, and discussions to gain insight into subsurface workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Follow established safety standards, procedures, and company policies.

Repsol has an opening for a Geoscientist Intern located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Internship Details :

• Position will be based out of our office in The Woodlands, TX. Interns are expected onsite Monday-Friday, with the exception of 9/80’s. The 9/80 schedule is optional per the manager’s discretion, based on intern project scope and timeline.
• Non-local candidates may be considered but must arrange their own travel and temporary accommodations. A summer stipend will be provided to help offset out of pocket expenses.
• Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 17th - Aug 6th. Any personal time off must be approved by the supervisor as unpaid leave and should be noted with the recruiter as early as possible.
• Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

Qualifications

• Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
• Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Geology or a related geoscience field (Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geophysics)
• Must be a currently enrolled student for the Fall 2027 semester. Candidates should not have graduated before the start of the internship.
• Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products
• Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for the oil and gas industry
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non‑technical staff
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position
• Proven organizational and time management skills
