Job summary

EOG Resources, Inc. is offering a Geoscience Intern position in Houston, TX. This full-time temporary role supports subsurface evaluation and hands-on geologic and seismic interpretation within exploration and development projects.

Preference will be given to students strong in stratigraphy, sedimentology, structural geology, log analysis, and geophysical interpretation. Excellent computer and mapping skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor, master, or doctorate degree in a geoscience program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; able to collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support subsurface evaluation efforts for exploration and development projects.

The geoscience intern will demonstrate strong computer skills and the ability to generate geologic maps that show an aptitude to objectively analyze the data and then progress into the realms of interpretation, projection, and actionable recommendations.
