Job summary

Constellation Energy Corporation is offering a 10-week summer Geoscience internship at the Geysers power plant in Middletown, CA. The role focuses on digitizing legacy data, creating ArcGIS maps, and consolidating data into a geodatabase for Calpine staff.

The internship runs June 7 through August 13, 2027 and may include limited overtime for fieldwork. A BS in geoscience and GIS/software familiarity are required, with driving in mountainous terrain part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geoscience required; coursework in structural geology preferred.
• Advanced degree with focus on subsurface reservoir characterization and field mapping is a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office; experience with digital mapping software and GIS tools is required.
• ArcGIS and AutoCAD are a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work in rugged field settings.

Responsibilities

• Create ArcGIS maps from legacy data for the Geysers project.
• Digitize selected well information from hard copy to digital format.
• Prepare GIS data for tablet use in the Geysers steam field.
