Job summary

Core Laboratories Inc. seeks a geoscience specialist to integrate geosciences data and deliver client-ready interpretive reports. You will work with Senior Geologists, engineers, and clients to translate raw data into initial interpretations and accurate deliverables.

Responsibilities include QA/QC of lab data, creating maps and sections, and using Geographix/PowerLog to support regional and well analyses. A BA/BS in geology or natural science is required, with 2+ years in geosciences preferred.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required; Geology or a natural science preferred.
• Prefer 2+ years in geosciences field with one to two years working with geological data and software.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples and sub-sample for project tests; perform QA/QC and resolve quality issues.
• Work independently and in teams across core analysis disciplines to generate client-ready reports.
• Perform high level QC of lab analysis; synthesize data and provide initial interpretation.
• Collaborate with senior staff to prepare for workshops and meetings; update maps, cross-sections, and final reports.
• Manipulate images using Adobe Photoshop and proprietary programs.
• Create and maintain geological interpretations using Geographix; document data and outputs.
• Prepare initial well data in PowerLog and ensure data quality for integration.
• Import core data into PowerLog for data integration; retrieve log data as needed.
• Use DrillingInfo to gather completion and production data for regional/well analysis.
