Job summary

Core Laboratories is seeking a geoscience specialist to integrate data from senior geologists, engineers, and clients. You will use multiple tools to transform raw data into integrated interpretations and timely client deliverables.

Responsibilities include QA/QC of lab data, developing maps and reports, and advancing geological interpretation using Geographix and PowerLog. Collaboration with senior staff will support workshops and client discussions.

Qualifications

• BA or BS required; Geology or a natural science preferred.
• 2+ years in geosciences with experience handling geological data and software.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples, sub-sample, perform QA/QC and resolve issues.
• Perform integrations across geoscience disciplines to generate client-ready reports.
• Quality control of lab analysis and provide initial interpretation of data.
• Prepare for workshops/meetings; create/update maps, cross-sections, and reports.
• Manipulate images with Photoshop and proprietary programs.
• Maintain Geographix; create cross-sections and isomaps; document data.
• Prepare well data in PowerLog; ensure log data quality and availability.
• Import core data into PowerLog for integration.
• Use PowerLog to print logs and access log data.
• Use DrillingInfo for regional/well analysis data.
• Other duties as assigned.
