Job description

Join T2 Utility Engineers in California

Play an integral role in mentoring and empowering team members to develop solutions for our clients and their projects. T2ue is seeking a key manager to work within our Geophysics team, responsible for training, executing, and managing near-surface geophysical investigations supporting projects in infrastructure planning, transportation, water/wastewater, aviation, transit, and site inspections.

The successful candidate will develop and implement technical solutions for proposals and projects, review geophysical work products, and oversee advanced testing. Collaboration with clients and design teams is essential to ensure project quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

Since 1993, T2ue has specialized in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce infrastructure project risks. Our services include subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination, aimed at managing utility complexities and enhancing project safety and efficiency.

Our Mission

To provide project stakeholders with high-quality utility information, professional insights, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve safety, and set industry standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Overseeing the use of geophysical utility locating equipment
  2. Managing projects and client interfaces
  3. Developing and maintaining client relationships
  4. Reporting on client and competitor activities
  5. Preparing business activity and forecast reports
  6. Supporting marketing efforts
  7. Responding to proposals and RFIs
  8. Preparing work plans, assembling project teams, and delegating tasks
  9. Reviewing design calculations, specifications, and submittals
  10. Participating in proposal development and negotiations
  11. Representing T2ue at client meetings
  12. Ensuring high-quality deliverables through QA/QC processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics with 4-10 years of relevant experience
  • California Licensed Professional Geophysicist or ability to obtain within 1 year
  • Experience with EM, GPR, magnetic geophysical methods
  • Strong networking and business development skills
  • Effective under pressure with strategic vision and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, supervisory, and mentoring abilities
  • Knowledge of MicroStation, GEOPAK, CAiCE, AutoCAD / Civil 3D is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management
  • Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering is a plus
  • Proficiency in survey-related mathematical computations
