Job summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) seeks a Geophysical Technician, Level I for the Field Services Division in Houston, TX. This role involves testing and inspection of soils, concrete, and pile monitoring, with comprehensive training provided for both new and experienced candidates.

Responsibilities include field data collection, equipment operation, safety compliance, and collaboration with project teams. The position is based in Houston and offers opportunities to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write in English
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to pass hair follicle drug test
• Hold a Texas Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Physically able to perform field duties in various weather

Responsibilities

• Physically complete labor-intensive projects as assigned by management
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all equipment and field operations
• Monitor performance of equipment and identify maintenance needs
• Perform geophysical exploration fieldwork with required equipment
• Analyze geophysical findings and identify issues and resolutions
• Maintain data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance
• Report data findings to managers during meetings
• Assist with drilling operations and geotechnical logging as needed
• Complete daily reports and safety paperwork
• Attend safety meetings and comply with safety standards
• Keep work areas and equipment organized and clean
• Submit all required paperwork daily
